Socialism killed millions upon millions of people in the 20th century. Even if (a very big "if") so-called “democratic socialism” avoids the brutality of Democide (Death By Government), the end result would still be economic misery & social calamity.
P.S. There is no such ideology or system of gov't as "democratic socialism." There's just socialism. If it wasn't for our role on the world stage, EU nations would still be killing each other and their own subjects via Democide. When we're gone or badly weakened, they will again.
So, Tom Perez is saying the future of the Democratic Party is mass murder? Because I'm not sure that's a great MSG for the fall. Socialism, and statism in all forms, kills people -- millions of people. And we're told statists masquerading as liberals are supposed to be smart.
