As an "adult" trying to find my way, I used to look back on what my parents DIDN'T teach me.

How they rarely sat down & explained things to me about life. (victim mindset)

I promised I wouldn't do that to my own children, so I spoke to them, teaching them how to live an exemplary life. (do what I say not what I do)

Only years later did I realize the secret..

CHILDREN WATCH EVERYTHING

THEY DON'T LISTEN VERY WELL

And so began my own personal journey to turn everything I believed on its head, to 180 myself. To BE that which I preached about.

It's been 4 years of constant work, self reflection, and most importantly, the systematic removal of all things and people toxic in my life.

If your serious about making true lasting changes, there is no free pass, no amount of guilt, no obligation, to keep anyone around who is toxic. No matter how you may think it SHOULD be.

Your WAY OF BEING will always overshadow any words you may speak. And so it is with our sons and daughters.

It's incredibly rewarding when you are able to see the fruits of your labor not only in self, but in those around you. My son wanting to workout like Dad, eat healthy like Dad, be resilient like Dad. To not care what people think and KNOW it's a super power

But as I toil in corporate America, "enjoying" the best financial years I've had since I came into the business, I caught myself preaching to him.

"The last thing I want you to do is work for a corporation."

Yet here I am..

Time to get off the pulpit and get to work. There's always more to be done.
