PM says that the two European Commission proposals for the future relationship are “No good”

“No department was cut out” of discussions about Common rulebook, PM says re Dexeu and David Davis

PM understandably trying to sell Chequers on the basis of protecting integrated supply chains/ just in time of car industry etc - says major manufacturers will play by EU rules anyway - but has she made the case too late, failed to roll the pitch of the danger here?

PM: “Common rulebook attached to specific areas of goods” - but
- if you have to check whether good is in rulebook or not then that is not frictionless, surely?
- surely if purpose is no checks, then it is up to EU to say where it applies on its incoming border - ie to all goods

PM lauds fact that UK businesses will not be able to ask the ECJ to adjudicate on Common rulebook disputes - Institute of Directors have specifically raised this as a concern...

PM says UK will be able to change tariffs and quotas in any new third party trade deal - but that is only when/ if Facilitated Customs Arrangement trechnoilogy and systems are available - no timetable yet, but industry have told Government years

PM repeats “I’ve always said No Deal is better than a bad deal”...
In next breath says MPs have to vote for the Trade Bill in order to continue the 40 EU trade deals, as part of “No Deal” - UK right now is waiting forEU to write a letter to these 40 nations to ask for continuity

PM says Trump advised her to sue the EU - she prefers negotiation.
Not infeasible that this could all end up at WTO proceedings in a few years.
PM also stresses fact POTUS said you should not walk away
