#ThisIsZero hour has marches this Saturday, and you should go, but if you can’t make that, you should at least read their platforms, think about it, and consider how you can join this powerfully painted picture of a post-fossil future.

They elevate indigenous peoples. Many of the methods and means of our survival have been known to us for thousands of years. but we created more toxic/exploitative versions while ignoring what First Nations offer. We’ve been Columbusing ourselves into oblivion. #ThisIsZeroHour
I saw this firsthand on a trip with an indigenous scientist in Vancouver to a “salmon forest." We learned how trees have underground networks & feed each other nutrients they get from salmon. Indigenous people knew this. We have the answers. We need to listen. #ThisIsZeroHour

Back to @ThisIsZeroHour... Wouldn’t it be dope to create some competition around not wasting resources? Isn’t that a higher form of capitalism? Who can do the most with the least? If we had true accounting of all costs, “the market” would function better. #ThisIsZeroHour
They incorporate restorative work in our transition to clean energy. We must heal the planet and our society in the process. They actually care about fossil industry workers, unlike industry leaders. We have an amazing opportunity! #ThisIsZeroHour
