Here are five tips for being a good white ally*

2) Invest in your racial education. Read books, subscribe to podcasts, attend conferences and seminars. Educate yourself.
3) Talk to and educate other white folks. There are folks who will tune me out, but will hang on your every word. Find them and teach them.
4) Recognize that reckoning with your own investment in whiteness will take time. There are many layers to pull back.
5) Don’t make excuses for racism. Divest in the myth of white racial innocence.
