1) #Brexit challenge - Leaver belief system
Spoke to 3 colleagues who I discovered were leave voters on a work trip.
All good people, all intelligent, all professionals
They did however illustrate some common (and fairly depressing) characteristics which show we have a challenge

2) to two of them I said "Remainers deal in facts & probabilities, Leavers deal in faith"
They enthusiastically agreed with this and seemed to think it was a compliment.

The same 2 said "I'm an optimist, everything will work out for the best"

3) 2 of them repeated the simple soundbites from the Leave campaign - for example one cited the EU army until he was shown proof that it couldn't happen without a UK referendum - but it was interesting hearing arguments long since discredited

4) but most striking of all was it was clear they were not informed or even interested in the latest Brexit developments.

To speak to them you would never think the government is in chaos, or that Vote Leave cheated, or even that no deal was being threatened

5) one said "I don't really follow Brexit now" and "nothing you can say will persuade me I was wrong"

This I think is the real challenge - many Leave voters may simply have not informed themselves and are not interested in how Brexit is progressing

6) remember these are professionals, above average intelligence, high earners, who simply took on Vote Leave propaganda and have no real interest in updating their understanding

1 was positively against even discussing Brexit

7) I think unfortunately many people will not change their minds on #Brexit until it hits them personally - many never will be and therefore will *never* change their mind no matter how bad the news gets, they'll simply screen it out
