the tech company posture regarding Infowars is exhausting. YouTube has a "3 strike rule" but keeps treating clear violations like "foul tips." Facebook is thiiiiiiis "close" to un-publishing the pages. 
It's now been a solid 15 days of different policies. declarations that Infowars will not be removed followed by some hedging, the a bit of backtracking, then some light finger-wagging, a short timeout, and now an ominous "watch your step, buster!"
again, these are companies that can do whatever they please. which is why all this hemming and hawing and dancing (within the span of a few days) is so exhausting.
somebody smart told me the first rule of crisis PR is to figure out what the ultimate end game will be and cut all the bullshit and just jump straight to doing whatever you'll inevitably have to do later under duress. been thinking about that maxim a lot lately.
