In May 2014, Dmitry Firtash assembled a team of lawyers, one of whom was Jamison Firestone, who was the one-time partner of Sergei Magnitsky at the law firm Firestone Duncan in Moscow, Russia.

Interestingly, Jamison Firestone also fled from Russia in December 2009, after claiming to have received an envelope on August 1, 2009 from the Russian tax authority containing fraudulently signed and sealed OOO Anrider document asking for a tax rebate.
