Should the Rest Of The World take more UK exports than the EU-27? Yes. Of course. Because the EU-27 was only 19.91% of world GDP in 2017. ➡️

So the fact that the EU-27 took a mere 44.5% (or around 2.25x its fair share) of UK exports should be a cause to look on it as a loyal and, quite frankly, stunningly easy customer. But that wouldn't fit into the Disgraced Former Defence Secretary's narrative. ➡️

Let's shake this puppy by the tail and find out what other half-truths and obfuscations the lying little shit is peddling. ➡️

Here's a good one to start:-

UK exports to the EU-27 rose from £240.42bn to £273.97bn, an increase of 13.95%
UK exports to the Rest of the World (if you want to include EFTA as Rest of the World) rose from £316.54 bn to £341.94 bn, a rise of 8.02%. ➡️

In other words, exports to the EU-27 rose 57.5% faster than exports to the RoW) and 10 of the EU-27 countries delivered an above-average increase in taking UK exports compared to RoW, most notably Hungary and Lithuania. ➡️

But what of The Fantasist Dr. Fox's beloved USA where his loyalties really lie?

Surely they must have started to reward the UK in readiness for encouraging us to break our ties with Europe.

Err…no. A rise of only 8.14% and barely indistinguishable from the average. ➡️

57% of the increase in UK exports in 2017 was down to the EU-27 which constitutes less than one-fifth of the world's economy and around 6% of its population.

But Liam Fox doesn't want you to know that.

Because he doesn't want you to know the risks of Brexit. ⏹️
