In 2010, Canada did $1 billion in exports to Saudi Arabia. To put it in persepective, right now we do ~$300 billion with the US. A break down in relations is never great but this ain’t exactly going to kill us. #cdnfp
Where this might hurt is the ~25k students from Saudi that study in Canada. But these students are going to have a hard time getting US visas under Trump.
Also potential for trouble of Saudi Arabia "convinces" its "allies" to follow suit. But Canada has such a small footprint in the Middle East that I have to think, again, while this isn't great, it's not the total end of the world.

First operation like this in the Western Hemisphere that I've seen. I think a lot will be made of the fact it's a UAV assassination attempt, but the reality is these operations are hard to do, easy to disrupt (shoot it down) and the effect is primarily psychological. #2cents
FWIW, my 🔥hot take🔥 is that the drone-terrorism nexus is way overplayed. But at the same time we've seen ISIS use and improve upon using them in Iraq/Syria. Again, mostly to psychological effect. These techniques can migrate, but...
If you want to cause *actual* damage and not just scare people, a drone is not the way to go. You'd be far better off with a gun or a car as they are easier to get, harder to stop and will likely kill far more people.
