@danielthetester I don’t try ideas I consider to be poorly conceived and even more poorly defended when probed/challenged.

See the tweets and thoughts here on the standard NE “just try it” argument. docs.google.com/document/d/1eP…
@danielthetester Here’s an analogy. I myself value version control. Let’s imagine that people pop up on Twitter with a #NoVersionControl movement. They give workshops and conf talks, insisting they work fine without version control, & it’s just a waste. Their main arg is “git makes you cry.” /1
@danielthetester Imagine further that these #NoVersionControl advocates react very badly to questions & criticism. They routinely refer to their critics as trolls, morons, dinosaurs, & worse. They block them. They refuse to answer direct questions about their stance. /2
@danielthetester Further imagine about these #NoVersionControl people: They insist they can’t debate on Twitter, while tweeting 69K times. Only one-on-one convos will do. Two of them travel the world giving workshops on #NoVC, all the while insisting “I’m not trying to convince anyone.” /3
@danielthetester These imaginary #NoVersionControl folks then turn around & say, “I’m not saying NEVER use version control.” (At the same time, they boast they haven’t in 8+ yrs). They refuse to say when VC would indeed be appropriate. They regularly post cartoons mocking bad git experiences. /4
@danielthetester Given all that, & zero compelling arguments presented that would cause me to reject version control as a generally wise practice, why would I possibly “just try NoVC”? Why would I be so inclined, given the poor args & poor behavior shown by the #NoVersionControl advocates? 5/5
@danielthetester I base my views on watching NE videos, plus reading blog posts & the really poorly done book.

One way that people normally behave who push a controversial idea is that they diligently respond to ALL questions about their specifics. NE won't/doesn't. Instead they attack/block.
