In March 2016, George Papadopoulos attempted to arrange a meeting between the Trump campaign and Russians in an email titled "Meeting with Russian Leadership -- Including Putin". The campaign dismissed the proposal.

The e-mail sent to Lewandowski by Papadopoulos on April 27, 2016 was on the same day as Papadopoulos sending Stephen Miller a similar message.

Papadopoulos forwarded an e-mail he received from Ivan Timofeev, an associate of Joseph Mifsud's, to Lewandowski, Sam Clovis and other members of the Trump campaign on May 4, 2016, another Russia meeting request which was dismissed by the campaign.

Since @jimsciutto doesn't understand that Christopher Steele was hired in June 2016 and the contract between Fusion GPS and Free Beacon ended before then, and that the first memo was written for June 20, 2016, I will explain it:

Christopher Steele was hired to write the dossier.
The fact that @CNN and @jimsciutto keep saying that Republicans funded the dossier would join with @Comey's idea that Republicans funded the dossier, which is completely incorrect.
You know, it's not the first time @jimsciutto has claimed that parts of the dossier have been verified. This was back in February 2017 though. I wonder who his source is?
