I'm not sure why my timeline's being flooded with lesbian gatekeeping discourse right now, but here, have an extremely relevant thread
and as an addendum to the thread, I want to say that since adopting the label, I haven't slept with any men. and it's been GREAT

if your goal is to protect lesbians from comphet, telling women who potentially ARE exclusively lesbian that they're "really" bi is not the way
gatekeeping is basically always bad, people need to be able to explore their identities safely without being attacked for it, I keep going on about this but it's SO IMPORTANT
how do you decide gatekeeping is a good idea, anyway? did you always know everything about yourself from the beginning? why would you want to stop others from following the same path?

as a trans woman, I've had a lot of people (even well-meaning allies!) tell me that no matter what I do, no matter how much I change my body, I'll always be male. and that it's not transphobic to say so. it's just science, after all.

let's talk about that.
the short answer is: yes it's transphobic, because I'm trans and I'm telling you so.

that's how it works for any marginalized group you don't belong to. we're more aware of what language is harmful to us than you are, and we don't always have the energy to explain
after all, I wouldn't even bring it up if it wasn't a problem, would I?

when someone says "ow, you're standing on my foot", your first response should be to move your damn foot, not say "but I'm not putting all my weight on it!"

realtalk: I, a trans lesbian, have turned down several trans women because I perceived them as being masculine in ways that I found unappealing. that's not transphobic. that's what an ACTUAL "personal preference" looks like

(and I didn't say that was why, because that'd be rude)
heck, once I've spent more time in the community, I fully expect to end up turning down some cis lesbians for the same reason. I love butches but not all of them are my type, y'know?
(also if you're reading this and I've turned you down in the past, don't assume that was why, I turn people down for all kinds of reasons)

btw, if this thread resonated with you and you still have a problem with phrases like "bisexual lesbian" or "pansexual lesbian", you missed the point

you can't approve of where I'm at without accepting how I got here
I say this because I and several of my mutuals have been harassed today for defending the use of such phrases. so once more,
I'm not even a huge fan of "bisexual lesbian" but the fact is that many women who are technically bisexual still call themselves lesbians, and have very good reasons for doing so, and it's pointless to attack them for it or try to cover it up

The first issue for me have been: I did not know my camera well and what it can do.
Almost any camera can do at least a nice astro landscape.
With the right settings, you could even capture the milky way with a high-end smartphone.

In November 2017 I had an idea to produce a masterclass series that would be watched for free by all and paid for by brands that care about educating and enriching people’s lives. I didn’t know any brand that wanted to come on, I wasn’t even looking.
I just knew that if I concentrated on doing a world standard job, the work would speak for itself.

Listen, that was a bit Naive.

January 2018, I went on a limb and bought equipment for shoot: Cameras, lights, etc. I was ready but only two instructors had agreed to do it.

1/ As you (should) know, january 3rd marks the actual birthday of #Bitcoin, as it was the day that Satoshi mined the first blocks and hence set the Bitcoin story into motion. Upcoming jan 3rd will be the 10th anniversary and this would be an obvious time for celebrations.
2/ @TraceMayer took the initiative of a call-to-arms for all HODLers-of-last-resort, to join him and quite a few other prominent bitcoiners like @giacomozucco, @theonevortex and @CaitlinLong_, just to name some, and also sport the same tag in their screen name.

RBI revealed this in an RTI: At the end of March 2018, a record high 7,990 borrowers of above Rs 5 crore had not repaid a whopping Rs 3.71 lakh crore to banks for 1-30 days after due date. That is a four-year high record of early defaulters! 1/n
2/n. These early defaults rose by a record 281.9 per cent over December 2017 when they stood at only Rs 972 billion . On a year-on-year basis, the rise is almost 228 per cent - the highest growth of early stage overdue repayments in 4 years.
3/n. More than 5,000 of these 7,990 were new and unique early defaulters of loans above Rs 5 crore. What does this number tell us? We have been told that all bad loans are of UPA era. This number tells us that Modi govt might be brewing its own banking crisis as well.
