Statement on the @thinkprogress report that I "write for" US Journal, an outlet which appears to have some undisclosed connections to Iran: I'm an indie writer and I don't write for any outlet. Outlets republish my work on a daily basis, some with permission, some without. 1/3
It happens that this one was with my permission, but the outlet doesn't appear to have been honest about its origins. I've asked them to unpublish my articles; I have no issues with Iranian outlets republishing me, but I'm not okay with dishonesty about their nature. 2/3
I received no payment of any kind from the outlet, and they never said anything about connections to any government. In the interests of transparency and posterity, here is the email US Journal sent me asking for my permission to republish, and my response to them. 3/3 
I've asked the author to correct his assertion that I write for that outlet, but it's @thinkprogress so I'm not holding my breath.
For the record, I have never accepted any payment of any kind from any outlet that's ever republished my work, and I always refuse money to write anything for anyone. I'm funded entirely by the generous support of my patrons and I like it that way.
UPDATE: US Journal denies allegations of any ties to any government.
