“People familiar with the matter said Germany is ready to accept a less detailed agreement on the U.K.’s future economic and trade ties with the EU in a bid to get a Brexit deal done.”
Is this now the only way through? A fudged future relationship that stops no deal, but keeps open the option (for both the EU and the Brexiteers) of killing Chequers during the transition, so is just about swallowable?
After March 31, 2019, PM A.N. Other (a Brexiteer) then pushes for 🇨🇦 before Dec 31, 2020 (without a border in the Irish Sea). They are, presumably, rebuffed and we’re back where we are now in June 2020 weighing up WTO vs EEA+ (or accepting Chequers+ — ie Jersey)
