2. Liberals are chomping at the bit to turn America 'more democratic' by making election of the President based purely on popular vote instead of the Electoral College, and turning Senate into a replica of the House in order to deny smaller states disproportionate representation.
3. There is truly an amazing amount of brainwashing required in order to adopt the lunacy of this line of thinking, and to become so willfully clueless about the level of rigor that went into designing our constitutional system the way it is.
4. Dear liberals, picture this. Imagine a time when all your wishes have been granted and President is elected by popular vote. Now think hard and sincere about this.
5. In such a system, do you think it will be easier or harder for a deranged, egomaniacal, xenophobic, racist jerk with oratorical skills of say a Barack Obama to win the presidency? All such a person will have to do is win overwhelmingly in a handful of the most populous states.
6. Do liberals think such a scenario is impossible? If so, please explain why you think so. What systemic protections do liberals offer against such an outcome?
7. Please look around the world and study the history of the world. This is far more common than the checks and balances so intricately woven into the tapestry of our constitutional system.
8. Putting a system like ours in place takes far greater thinking, a much deeper knowledge of history and human nature, and first-hand experiences in the firmament of lives lived in times of great turmoil, than reacting petulantly to a temporary loss of political power.
