I've had the misfortune of seeing white vegan bullshit on my timeline for some reason, and haven't seen a thread on it in a while, so here we go. First before the white vegans arrive, I am vegan so stop before you embarrass yourselves.
First off, if you're anti-cruelty and aren't anti-capitalist, you're a fucking joke. You're not going to end the cruel practices of the meat industry without ending capitalism.
If your activism revolves around anti-animal-cruelty but not around ending the exploitation of the global south, anti-racism, and just in general anti-people-cruelty, congrats, you're saying that animals are more important than oppressed people, fuck off.
A lot of animal rights activism I've seen in the US as of late revolves around very specific issues, and often not the most horrific treatment of animals. There's a reason for that. If we go with the most horrific treatment the US wins hands down.
Instead, yall are being used by the imperialists to downplay the US's role in animal cruelty, focusing on isolated (and often fabricated) events like a zoo in the DPRK, or wool production in China.
I saw a recent post about wool production in china where the wool was plucked instead of shorn. The sheep was bleating, but you wanna talk about cruel wool production? Let's talk about Australia where they cut skin off to tighten the wrinkly skin of certain breeds.
The meat industry is of course the largest example of animal cruelty. Who drives that? 
Factory farming came from Britain and the US primarily, and the awful methods of implementation are direct exports of the west, often owned by US companies in whole or in part.
Another favorite imperialist scare tactic is stories of dogs and cats being eaten in Asian countries. Why the fuck is that worse than eating pigs and cows? Because you have an emotional attachment to those species? Get over it.
If you promote that shit, you're racist end of discussion.
A common attack on poor people who aren't vegan is "it's actually cheaper to be vegan" First of all it's often not especially if you need suplements or work manual labor and need a high calorie count. Second, food deserts make it impossible for many.
But past that, stop. If you wanna teach your friends about being vegan, or even spread pamphlets to help people be vegan affordably, awesome. But don't get mad at those that refuse, there's way bigger problems that you obviously don't give a shit about.
And animal rights was the first thing I was passionate about, so I know all the stats, I know the environmental impact, I know the global warming impact, I know about the cruelty, the factory farm workers conditions.
That's something that's always interesting though, many of yall don't stress those points. Talk about how the meat industry puts waste storage in poor communities! Talk about how factory farm workers are treated like shit! Seems to me yall don't give a shit about them.

One last thing: why are yall so egocentric. This holier-than-thou shit is so gross, you're still complicit in imperialism, racism, etc.. You're not holier than shit. Why don't you uplift the voices of non-white vegans, or even just fucking listen to them. Alright I'm done.
