What does NSA Chung really mean by that? "NK's supreme leader made clear his inclination to permanently dismantle the most symbolic & substantive nuke facility in NK, subject to commensurate US action. Based on this, we hope negotiations will resume soon"

Chung just held news conference attended by SK media in Pyongyang. "Pres Moon promised 2 things to SK citizens: (1) totally eliminating the threat of war on the Kor peninsula and (2) making significant progress on denuking the Kor peninsula. We delivered on these fronts

So what exactly is Chung so excited about? "The military agreement we signed goes beyond building trust and bans hostile acts taking place on land/sea/air. Through concrete acts, we're turning DMZ into a peace zone. In effect, we think we have agreed to a Non-Aggression Pact."

Chung thinks he signed a non-aggression pact with NK. He's referring to the military agreement which former Defense Minister Song Young-moo put his name to earlier.
