Donga reports an economic delegation composed of representatives of US agricultural & German mining businesses visited NK in late Sept. The German concern is interested in NK's magnesite/graphite reserves and US agro biz looked at investment opportunity

The timing of this was late Sept when Pompeo's 4th visit had been decided and US-NK dialogue was ongoing. NK treated this economic delegation well. The US concern is supposedly the largest one that sells agro & animal protein prods (Cargill, Tyson Foods?)

Front page news in SK courtesy of Donga. NK is known to have rather large mineral reserves other than just coal: copper, lead, iron ore, tungsten plus rare earth/rare metal elements like molybdenum. SK estimates it's worth $3.6 trillion (on the low side) imnews.imbc.com/replay/2018/nw…
SK analysts are surprised by this development (if true) but some aren't. Perhaps Trump knew something when he kept telling people NK's gonna be "successful." He told reporters on Oct 9 that NK wants foreign investors and that's one of the reasons why US-NK dialogue is going well
Who could be behind this Western economic delegation? Donga points to son-in-law Jared Kushner who played role in staging Singapore summit and may have been told to explore inv opportunity in NK. He reportedly dealt w/NK officials via US mining companies

Kushner? Sounds far-fetched? But no, Jared does have a NK connection through Gabriel Schulze who's from a mining family. Schulze has been to NK umpteen times. NK reached out to Schulze to get acquainted with Jared, which helped stage the Singapore summit nytimes.com/2018/06/17/us/…
Hmm .., now we know what Nikki Haley meant when she said Jared is a "hidden gem". She meant Kushner will be great at finding rare earth minerals in faraway places like NK. She meant that literally.
