April 11, 2013, Michael J Danhoffer was listed to receive the rank of general in the US Airforce. Per congressional record volume 159, Number 48.
Pretty sure this "IT specialist" moving back to DC in January of 2016 had nothing to do with US Cyber Command recruiting a ton of Cyber AF guys at that time.
By all accounts the guy is due respect, a hero, serving at least two deployments in Afghanistan.
But what isn't clear is that he owned a home in DC (bought in 2009). Through deployments and reassignments he and his wife retained that home.
Strangely during a time he was deployed/reassigned, while his wife was still working in DC, someone else lived in that home???
Surely you would know who you rented a room to, as a sublet while your wife still lives there. Obviously you would know or trust the person. They would be a family or a good friend...or perhaps the little brother of a good friend?
See ..years before the DC home was acquired, then captain Danhoffer was part of the AF in Aurora, CO. In the 460G space-wing. Working on projects involving sattalite defense technology, where the major contractor was Northrup Grumman.
So you see years later, when the little brother of a once Aurora, CO Northrup Grumman contractor, was moving to DC, and looking for a place to stay, and a former AF IT/Cyber specialist had an open room at his house, well it makes sense, a win win situation.
So let's just say a ranking AF IT guy more than just knew the little brother of a higher level Northrup Grumman contractor. And moved back to DC in January of 2016, possibly for assignment to Cyber / ft. meade, just in time for all kinds of shenanigans.
I'll leave it to others to speculate who the little brother was that moved to DC, rest his soul.
Correction *major* . Sure wish I could edit....
