NEW: American Bar Association calls on the Senate Judiciary Committee to delay the vote on Trump's SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh until the FBI investigates sexual assault allegations against him.

During the hearing, Kavanaugh touted his American Bar Association rating, claiming he'd been thoroughly vetted by them. Tonight, the ABA has made the "extraordinary request" for the Judiciary Committee to delay the Kavanaugh vote.

The American Bar Association had concerns about Kavanaugh 12 years ago and lowered its rating of him: "concerned about his ability to be balanced & fair...immovable, very stubborn & frustrating to deal with, sanctimonious."
