It’s disgusting and frankly nuts that Republicans won’t just withdraw Kavanaugh. Only pain & spectacle can result from old white men tearing down a credible sexual assault victim made to justify her trauma. GOP broke Congress and the Presidency. Now they’ll taint Supreme Court.
We also must ask whether Kavanaugh will be affected by his reported anger & anxiety when hearing cases involving women's issues. And can women have faith in his impartiality after the spectacle? He is a flawed nominee and should be withdrawn ASAP. Surely there are better people.
Trump says FBI doesn't investigate. Now Graham says an FBI investigation isn't about finding truth?? They're admitting Republicans are worried about the midterms. They want a show & get Kavanaugh on SCOTUS quickly. The courts are their best issue to hold onto Congress and power.
Here's the other reason Republicans want to move quickly on #Kavanaugh. With more time, more people and witnesses come forward. This woman attended the same high school & remembers the people & incident. She writes "The incident did happen. Many of us heard about it in school"
If #Kavanaugh is certain the sexual assault incident never happened, then why isn't HE asking for an FBI investigation to clear his good name?? Furthermore, as @Lawrence eloquently observes, people who make up stories don't ask the FBI to investigate their stories.
