the language of the announcement is very vague. they say multiple arrests were made. the press conference will be held *inside* the federal courthouse at 2pm.

huffington post has updated their article with the names of the four men they expect this conference to be about. it should be starting now... they’re only allowing credentialed press into the federal courthouse.

“how many of these cases can we do?” he says he’s only got 30 prosecutors covering the district... maybe they should shift their focus to prosecuting violent white supremacists and reallocate some of the resources they have working on drugs charges?
he says the riots act is “the more appropriate charge” (vs hate crimes charges) because they’d have to prove animus based on a protected class was a primary motivator. never mind all the chants of “jews will not replace us.”
he says the four men have been arrested and will likely be transported here for their first appearance either next week or the week after. they then have 30 days to bring an indictment. he says they’re prepared to try the cases before the end of the year.
so the prosecutor said one of the roadblocks to charging these nazis is identifying them... one of the men they just arrested for the august 11, 2017 torch march was identified august 12, 2017
