It’s been 3 weeks into the semester and you haven’t said anything yet...

You get nervous
You don’t know what to say
You’re afraid of getting shut down

But you want to meet her...

Here’s a quick guide to help you facilitate the approach process

Ok, I get it

I’ve been here many times before

So I’m going to share with you a SIMPLE & EFFECTIVE, step by step process you can follow to increase your chances of getting her phone number

Today is the day

Let’s jump in...

Let’s start by identifying any possible ques you might have received....

Does she try to sit near you?
Has she made eye contact with you? Does she smile when she does?
Does she flip her hair when you make eye contact?

We’re trying to gauge how receptive she might be

Next

Ok...you see her, make eye contact(+smile) (if you don’t, it’s okay, still follow the process)

Start walking towards her

Now don’t move towards her like a gorilla spotting a 🍌

You’ll look aggressive & foolish

Move how Someone likes James Bond might

Smooth
Calculated

Now you’re in the same space as her

If she’s not looking at you, say “excuse me”

She’ll probably say something like “Hey”

(pause) now, I prefer to go DIRECT, meaning I let her know my intentions right off the bat

I’m not here to waste any time

It would look like something like this..

U: “excuse me”
Her: “Yeah...” or “Hey”
U: “ I know this is random but, I seen you and didn’t want to regret not meeting you.”

BOOM ^^ that’s direct

Now...she might laugh, not saying anything, or say “aww”,

Here’s the follow up that guys DREAD or never know what to do

The Transition:

Make an observation

What she’s wearing
What she’s doing
Or make a funny guess about her

“Yea, I see you in class always looking so focused, planning on taking over the world sometime soon?”

It’s stupid...but she might find it funny

It eases tension and makes the convo light hearted

From here

Guess her major
Start asking open ended questions

“Wow, nursing, what made you want to get into that field?”

“Nursing, sounds tough, what are clinicals a like?”

We’re asking questions that elicit a response that isn’t Yea or no, it’s more than that

You let her do a lot of talking

**You find out more about her and RELATE to her responses with YOUR experiences **

You’re building rapport

If you see she’s wearing a bracelet, gently touch it and ask her “what’s the story behind this bracelet?”

Or

What made her buy that type of bracelet?

Just observe and engage

Don’t be boring

Now, we’re at the end

Seal the deal
