For all our profession's both sides-isms, I wish we called this men's rightsy stuff "identity politics" in the same way we would if, say, a woman politician talked about her experience with sexism
Think of the last two days: the alarmist anti-immigration rhetoric at the TN rally, the ban on visas for diplomats in same sex marriages, and this men's rightsy rhetoric about Kavanaugh
Even if we take the conservative definition of "identity politics," which is roughly, governing with things like race/gender/sexuality overtly top of mind -- Trump, and his trademark rhetoric, fit the definition squarely, and are likely one of the practice's greatest proponents
