The @NobelPrize was awarded to Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad for their efforts to end sexual abuse AS A WEAPON OF WAR.

So you guys cover wars, right? So where is the discussion of this? From what I can see, you didn't even cover it. 3/

Also notable, the #EarlyBird didn't even mention it this morning. An important and notable event directly tied to war, and it wasn't on the Pentagon's morning reading list. 4/

So to all my national security journalist and editor pals, on board what they're trying to tell you...and all of us: when 50% of the population is systematically targeted for torture, it is a weapon of war. 5/

Covering the latest bomb, plane or cyber attack but ignoring the warfare that is happening to actual humans probably means you're not actually capturing all aspects of war. #foodforthought 6/

so this is interesting. I've just been informed by @smallwars that he muted me because I pointed out that the news feed didn't cover the Nobel. I was accused of having a fit and told to submit something. So I reached out via email...

I took out email addresses, but this is the exchange. It's disturbing to me personally and unsettling. I'm sorry people choose to not hear what I think are pretty valid concerns especially from a publication I had until now had respect for...hence my visit to the site. Too bad.
