btw, recent polling re: Menendez proves point: most NJ voters, in the age of Trump criminality, when asked abt Menendez allegations don’t think they’re beyond what most pols do
so if the goal of Trump loyalists like @KimStrassel is to normalize allegations of corruption in age of Trump, congrats!! you’ve succeeded

oh the irony, in 2014 the networks denied Obama's request for airtime in primetime to address....immigration reform.
based on that, there's absolutely zero justification for nets to give Trump airtime to discuss his (fantasy) Wall.
and yes, nets are starting to announce they’ll give Trump airtime after they refused Obama (who’s not a pathological liar!!)

First of all, it's fascinating to me just from the standpoint of how even the most absurd propositions can draw wide audiences, when thinking people should be able to dismiss them out of hand. 2/
Second, the fact that we will argue ad inifinitum about subjects that don't deserve a second look is a serious indictment of something - either our inherently American contrariness or the ground-leveling effect social media has. 2/
