(1) Under the below tweet there's discussion of what Trump's plan to deploy the military to the border will mean in practice. Yes, it will work, by providing a physical barrier, & deterrence. But actual law enforcement like making arrests, using weapons, can only be done by LEOs.
(2) This is super-important bc I need y'all to remain calm for the next 3 weeks at least. Election season is always crazy but this one is "off the charts." On every issue there's not 2 main competing narratives, but 3-4. Here's my take on the border issue:
(4) A POTUS has the right and the DUTY to defend the border. Democrat activists, politicians, governors and judges will NOT be able to stop him doing what is necessary to stop the angry horde of illegal economic migrants forcing their way into the US like they just did in Mexico.
(5) Trump is using every lawful means, including international diplomacy, attempting bipartisan agreement, and maximizing the effectiveness of DHS & other key federal agencies. It's also appropriate & lawful to state his intention and deploy the military if necessary.
(6) Indeed, Democrats are so ignorant & inept that they've encouraged Guatemalans to use toddlers as human shields in riot conditions, as they force their way into Mexico. This blatant child abuse will, and should, help even more people to #VoteGOP. 
(7) Guatemalans, Hondurans, and anyone else, I should have said. Forget Soros; the whole range of wealthy Democrat donors is involved, including the (dominant) socialist elements of the global Roman Catholic Church. Don't mention the name Soros to me without including the others.
(8) The October-November 2018 border crisis is not a binary left/right, R/D, borders/no borders issue. Black & white thinking is a scourge that we must all fight, IMHO.

(9) We all know by now the far left open borders Democrat-endorsed narrative. Despite whatever ways the Democrat in front of you will try to fudge the issue, they do oppose the proper security of national borders, esp. with respect to the SW US land border with Mexico.
(10) In opposition the Democrat-endorsed narrative, there are well-informed & misinformed Trump-supporting people. The misinformed believe it would be lawful, appropriate, necessary & beneficial for the US and for Trump, if he casts aside the law in this situation. He won't.
(11) Trump will act within the law to defend the border, because he is law-abiding, breaking the law in this instance is not going to be necessary, & it would not assist his work in any way.
(12) Based on current events & threats, if Trump needs to deploy the military to the border in this crisis, he can do so without ordering them to depart from the terms of engagement used by the existing National Guard personnel.
(13) Intel reports will guide the Pentagon's decision making on the nature, size & locations of troops. The military will enhance & add to existing physical barriers & deterrence. They will also increase the back-filling of LEO roles.
(14) In the unlikely event that a very large number of illegal economic migrants move toward the border in an area, then Trump does have the power to change the terms of engagement, as a last resort. But some folk are talking as if he must and should do it as a first resort.
(15) It's 15 days until election day. I'm working hard to stay focused on the GOP/Trump goals for the midterms. I encourage you to think about which narrative you're helping when you talk about how Trump should defend the border between now & then, & afterwards. As for the Dems:
