President Obama says nobody in his administration was indicted. General James Cartwright was indicted for lying to FBI about Stuxnet, a US-Israeli cyber attack against Iran's nuclear program. President Obama pardoned him on 17 January 2017, two weeks before the sentencing hearing
Cartwright had also been investigated for possible misconduct with a female Marine captain in 2009-10. He was at the time being considered by Obama to be the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in 2011. He was the Vice Chairman at the time.
Stuxnet did significant damage to Iran's nuclear weapons program which may have resulted in Iran's not having advanced further. Stuxnet is believed to have been started under the Bush Administration.
