Special counsel’s office spokesperson Peter Carr: “When we learned last week of allegations that women were offered money to make false claims about the Special Counsel, we immediately referred the matter to the FBI for investigation.” (confirming his comment, reported elsewhere)
Here's my and @ZoeTillman's report on this latest ridiculous thread in the 2018 story. —> Robert Mueller's Office Has Asked The FBI To Investigate Allegations That A Woman Was Offered Money To Accuse Him Of Sexual Harassment
buzzfeednews.com/article/chrisg…
So, "Surefire Intelligence," which the original Hill Reporter story — hillreporter.com/special-counse… — linked to the Burkman "investigation" into Mueller has led to a whole set of discoveries ...
... including this connection made by Jane Mayer ...
... and then there's also this: The one "news" story about Surefire, a Medium post from August — medium.com/@EvanGoldman17… — is the only story by "Evan Goldman," a reverse image search of whom actually appears to be model Oran Katan. immbruxelles.com/international/…
As a public service, I checked in on Oran and he appears to be doing well: instagram.com/oran__katan/?h…
True. I may need to travel and interview him.
Also: "Evan Goldman" joined Twitter in the same month "he" published "his" Medium post, "he" pinned that post to his account, and "he" hasn't tweeted since the day after that article posted. twitter.com/EvanGoldman17
"Alas, poor Evan! I knew him, Jacob."
Don't worry, though. "Evan" is still on Twitter, linking to his now-gone Medium post. @EvanGoldman17
It's not just "Eric," of course. Here's a thread of some of the Surefire "employees" —>
Here's the registration info for a Surefire Intelligence LLC. It was registered in Delaware at 4:23 p.m. on Oct. 9, 2018.
Surefire was registered on Oct. 9 (see above), then Wohl tweeted this 10 days later ...
... then @jentaub says she got this email, which she posted, from "Simon Frick" at Surefire on Oct. 22. Here's @NatashaBertrand's tweet breaking this part of the story:
"Simon Frick," for those who missed on that other thread, is better known as actor Christoph Waltz, per his LinkedIn photo. 😂 I bet @jentaub would have paid more mind had she known that!
BTW: The Medium post from "Matthew Cohen" — the "Managing Partner" at Surefire Intelligence — also is now gone.
I did NOT predict this development appearing on today's spin-the-wheel show.
Our story has been updated with the latest. buzzfeednews.com/article/chrisg…
Despite it all, I think this is my favorite part of Surefire Intelligence, in light of what we know now: Its claimed case studies.
