There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that the group is full of gang members or criminals or anything other than people who need help. Suggesting otherwise is the same sort of fear-mongering that the world has seen at some of its most shameful moments in history.
You know what a truly powerful country does when people need help? They send food and blankets. And they use their influence to rally other nations to do the same.
