When Vote Leave was reported for criminal activity...

The first thing the @BBC did was to give Vote Leave a mouthpiece to explain it away.

Now Arron Banks is reported for criminal activity...

And the @BBC make him a star - by bringing him on their prestigious Marr show.

And NO, I don’t believe the @BBC offers robust challenge of these people.

They didn’t with Vote Leave. They also don’t challenge on regular government BS about Free Movement, “control our borders” tropes, or claimes that EU tariff barriers hurt developing countries.

The BBC rarely seem to challenge lead Brexit spokespeople when they peddle provably false info.

It’s like they often don’t research a topic before they have people on to discuss it.

So I have no faith in the BBC to actually *lead* conversation & hold people to account.

And maybe I and others are over-reacting about Arron Banks being invited into their studios for a chat.

But here’s the thing... We’ve lost faith in the BBC.

We’ve seen how they’ve been over referendum issues before - and many who supported BBC before plain don’t trust them now.

To many of us, it will not look like the @BBC is providing challenge -

Rather, just providing Arron Banks privileged access to airwaves.

Like with Vote Leave, the @BBC will just furnish political crooks with an opportunity to publicly attack our nation’s institutions.
