This season of sobriety has challenged you to let go of your delusions, addictions, and wastefulness. You have discovered where and how to invest your energy in resources to maximize your return.

This season has been marked by Mars in Capricorn, May 2, 2018 through November 5, 2018.

Today is the last day of this season. I'm proud of you; you made it!

We begin transitioning into the season of living our intentions & convictions, as using our words honestly, with clarity, empathy, and transparency.

But, we've got unfinished business to tend to before we get there.

New Moon in Libra

Today's new Moon begins the final chapter of the Libra saga which began September 10, 2017.

The Libra saga has been a story of:
*Seeking a new consensus✔️
*Reconciling differences ✔️
*Revising implicit & explicit contracts ✔️
*Justice for and by women✔️
*Judges, justices, law, courts, judges, and other administrators of the law ✔️

Libra uses reason, rationality, and civility to solve problems and make progress. Libra establishes a standard for how to deal with conflict and much conflict we have had.

Between Mars finally leaving Capricorn and entering Aquarius, and today's New Moon in Libra, it is clear that we are ready for new ideas and conversations about who we are and how we live together. However, this is not without its complexities.

There is truly a new consensus on how we shall live together with an unprecedented number of women having been elected in Congress.

While we are establishing new ideas for progress (Libra) & exercising our personal sovereignty, rejecting the language & dominion of empire over our Selves & lives (Aquarius), we are also facing an unrelenting backlash against a waning, but powerful minority's fight for survival.

Don't be apathetic. The fight is just beginning. For it is only now that we have weapons in our arsenal. We used to the vote to acquire these weapons. It is pure power.

I have framed Mars in Aquarius (Nov 5 - Dec 23) in terms of dominion over Self, or dominion over others. Mars in Aquarius teaches us that the temptation of a promise to have dominion over others it's not worth the loss of dominion over ourselves.

Borrowed authority comes with a price. It is never on your own terms. Borrowed authority requires that to give up the right to name yourself, define yourself, and determine how to see yourself.

Thursday November 8 begins a new month and a new season in the Chinese calendar.

November 8 through December 6 is the month of Gui Hai, which is the Yin Water Pig. It is the first month of three of the winter season. It is the last season of the Chinese year.

The Pig roughly correlates to Scorpio. And Yin Water (Gui) is Mercury. To be clear, Mercury retrograde in Scorpio is the main attraction of this month.

The month of the Pig, while on the surface brings a lot of Water, actually brings back a taste of the Fire that dominated this past summer.

This taste of Fire brought by the month of the Pig is like a kindling that can’t catch because there is too much moisture in the air.

Fire is will. It is the strength to act, the authority to act, and the intention behind the action.

Water in this context is that which carries a thing from here to there, a mode of travel. It is the word that carries the intent. And, it is the messenger who carries that word.

Fire is revved up, ready to act. Water refuses to carry the message of Fire lest it be consumed and destroyed in the process.

Finally, the Moon enters Scirpio overnight tonight. It sets off a building square between Mars in Aquarius and Jupiter in Scorpio.

Scorpio answers to the survival instinct, the drive to preserve your life and body.

Aquarius answers to your personal sovereignty and self determination, self dominion and self possession.

Aquarius can be impervious to the instinct to protect and preserve–air rises above water. But Aquarius can also find its inherent detachment all fogged up and unclear because it wants to be free from even the dominion of the body and biology.

Aquarius even rejects the body’s drive to preserve itself. That can be good or bad. Being human means being able to choose or reason with instinct.

Scorpio says to Aquarius that self determination is only possible when you’re alive. Save your own life first!

Who is fighting for their life in the midst of conflict over who can possess and be themselves?

Is the idea of remaining self possessed more important than whatever you need to do to save your own life?

What do you do when forced to choose between giving up you personal sovereignty and saving your own life?

What is the price you’re willing to pay to survive?

When empire tempts you with promises of power over others do you succumb, or do you choose to maintain personal sovereignty, loyal to yourself, and determining your own designations?

Folks loyalty to their survival will be tested. This a “will you sell your soul to the devil?” aspect.
