Cornelius Vanderbilt was the 19th century American business magnet who built his wealth in the transportation industry. He first built his fortune in inland water trade and later sold everything to get into railroads. At one point he controlled 40% of US railroads. 2/n
During the rail bubble there were more than 350 railroad companies in America. Side note: During automobile bubble there were more than 2000 car companies in the US. 3/n

Lets look at the problem from the @PhRMA / business perspective. And lets suppose you are a wonderful company, started by wonderful people who just want to make the world a better place (I know, not real, but stay with me for a minute).
You start with a great idea / or pipeline platform and start selling this concept to #VC #VentureCapital, and lets assume that this is actually a really good idea. What is the needed return on investment to make this worth while. A: further R&D must exceed the cost of capital.

I believe without a shadow of a doubt, that you should get to a point where you live off your returns, not capital. A point where you've invested so much, that the returns become a steady stream that takes care of your needs.
A point where you only dip into capital for major things like buying a house and then, only rarely.

 На первом месте моя любимая история про то, как патологоанатом лихо вскрывал грудную клетку мужику, оттуда фонтаном ёбнула кровь и забрызгала мне правую половину лица.
В морге я не имела возможности её смыть, поэтому мне пришлось минут сорок провести с трупной кровью на лице.

 Кстати, морг – это не аббревиатура и вовсе не значит «Место Окончательной Регистрации Граждан». Это пиздёж. Слово «morgue» с французского языка означает «лицо». Изначально моргом называлась комната в тюрьме, где тюремщики вглядывались в лица заключённых, пытаясь их запомнить.
