Statements like these egregiously minimize the scope of the issue. Vote swapping machines were used in 82/254 TX counties & 8.3 million votes were cast. Far more than 200K ppl had already voted over 5 days by the time the @TXsecofstate notified the public of the “malfunctions”.
@ktbmoore Beyond that if Beto actually had the momentum to close the D-R gap (that’s typically 6-10 pts) all the way down to -200K, he had it to win outright. Coming up this short in TX is probably winning when you factor in voter suppression and machines that swap D votes to R.
@ktbmoore This isn’t about sour grapes or pining for Beto specifically, Texas voters were informed far and wide on 10/27/18 that the machines we cast our votes on are untrustworthy. Until they clarify WTF is going on our whole election process is too.
