M - Love has MOBILITY, it can shift location, migrate or change allegiance if not properly appreciated or tended.
When there is no trust, love can consider relocating.

If we apply the Golden Rule of treating our spouses/lovers the way we desire to be treated, love is likely to move to the next level rather than walk away.
Love has the option of MOVING or Staying.

R - Love RESPIRATE, It can breathe and that is why lovers sometimes ask for breathing space. A polluted marriage or courtship environment can be toxic to Love.

It is the responsibility of partners to jointly work to create an enabling environment for love to breathe fresh air. If love is choking you, please walk away, at least to get fresh air.

N - Love require balanced NUTRITION. A well prepared and balanced diet in order not to suffer from 'Love kwashiorkor'.

One day of hatred, two days of indifference and another day of "Sorry, it won't happen again" is not good enough diet to keep love healthy.

Some marriages are suffering from Marital kwashiorkor because the basic nutrition such as appreciation, mutual respect, simple courtesy are in scarce supply or nonexistent.

Next is I - IRRITABILITY. Love has the ability to RESPOND to positive or negative stimulus.

Love can feel your touch, hear the tone of your words, see your body language, measure the velocity with which you walked out of the room and could read meaning to them.

It has the capacity to reflect, retort, become excited or moody after a conversation or just be put off by your poor hygiene.

Love has EMOTIONS, the tendency to FEEL the temperature and respond accordingly. Women are naturally emotional and they are the thermometer of the home.

Every wise guy and lady should endeavour to study how to regulate this thermometer while at the same time, we all have to know how to subject our emotions to correct REASONING.

G - Love can GROW if the variables are favourable, but can also remain stunted if otherwise.
Growth is a product of good nutrition, weeding, pruning, application of growth supplements etc

Love cannot grow under neglect or left to Mother Nature, there must be proactive efforts from us.

Love has the capacity to purge itself of toxins and excesses such as partner's mistakes, failure of yesterday, disappointment, betrayal, feeling of hopelessness, pain of partner's infidelity (cyber or real) etc.

When you refuse to allow LOVE to do environmental sanitation of itself, you might be sitting on a time bomb.
Don't sweep things under the carpet again, EXCRETE it.

Partners must CONSCIOUSLY excrete on a regular basis so that they don't suffer internal pollution that can kill their marriage/Relationship. Refusal to excrete is readiness to turn your marriage into a dunghill.

Let's talk about R - REPRODUCTION. LOVE can reproduce... In fact, it has the highest tendencies to be productive than to be sterile depending on packaging, handling and delivery.

I don't buy the "50 - 50" love stuff, rather I advocate for "100 - 100". If you're doing 50-50 love, what happens to the 50 each partner is holding back.

Love is an investment. You get what you input; Garbage IN, Garbage OUT.
What you SOW is what you get, there is no MAGIC or MIRACLE that can give you a better harvest than your deposits.

We can't depend on luck or even leave everything to God. (Faith that leaves everything in the hands of God while failing to do the human/work aspect is an irresponsible faith).

The circumstances of life are not designed to pamper us, rather they are to toughen us provided we are rightly positioned. Are you rightly positioned for a productive love? If not, you will be blown away (Matt 7:24-27).

Finally as I begin to conclude my presentation, let me take the last point; D - DEATH.
Can love die???

YES love can die but not easily.
The DEATH of LOVE depends on the foundation upon which it is planted.

Can love die in Christian marriages?
Oh YES, if the love was planted or nurtured on ignorance, selfishness, hypocrisy or wrong theology.

If Love can't die, how then could Mr. XYZ have stabbed his wife to death on her birthday? How could Mrs. ABC organize area boys to shoot her husband after 10years of marriage with 3 children?

If it has been serially betrayed or the condition of the relationship becomes corrosive and abusive, love can die. If the sense of self-worth has been eroded, love can enter comatose and never come out alive.

What do I mean by Wrong Theology?
So MANY persons have been fed with some CULTURAL and PERSONAL opinions that have been "Biblicalized" to sound like it is the word of God.

We have been told before that there is ONLY ONE man/woman destined for you to marry & if you miss him/her, you're done forever. IT IS NOT TRUE. The idea came from a cultural myth of pre-destination which the Bible has explained better.

We have also been told that we should ONLY marry from our denomination. It's a confusing theology. The Pastors who said those things might have reasons but it SHOULD NOT be a theology to preach, there is no denomination in heaven.

Example: We have been told that a lady CANNOT marry a man she's older than. It is an African cultural stuff, but Biblical. It might have its own challenges but it shouldn't be turned into a LAW.

I have heard a preacher who said any married couple who have sex with the woman on top will not enter heaven.
It is a wrong theology, that's his own personal opinion.

We should be CAREFUL to separate between PERSONAL OPINION, CULTURE from "THUS SAITH THE LORD... ". Failure to do this will create confusion and wrong theology in the body of Christ.
