So I met David at an event organized by @TheOludami tagged "Social Selling Secrets". It is led at the NairaBET HQ and it was about selling online using social media platforms. I was one of the Speakers.

David told me his story.

He was an orphan, struggling to make ends meet...

David was selling an ebook about relationships - and it wasn't doing well. As I asked a few questions, I told him a few things to change or better still to dump the idea and go d something else.

I invited him iver, and what he showed me blew my mind. He haf started a facebook group and in 3 months it was at over 200k members, but he wanted to monetize it.

So I gave him a plan.

The rest of this thread is the step by step plan I gave him for making the group profitable.

Step One: Sell something to the group members.

Duh! That one is obvious. You gotta sell something to make money right? But what do you sell?

There were 200,000+ members at the time, so what better way than to ask them what they'd be willing to buy.

So that's what David did.

There were numerous ideas and answers they gave, from topics they wanted to learn to products they wanted to buy, to services they wanted rendered.

The quickest thing to offer them was advertising services. Many of the members had businesses and they wanted other members to...

patronize them.

So we created a plan for David to run ads twice a week, and charge 50k per ad placement. That'sa =N=100,000 a week, and =N=400,000 a month.

That's just Phase One of the monetization process.

We have a cookbook lined up, and physical products (ecommerce)...

in the pipeline too.

By the middlenof next year, David will be easily making =N=1 million a week from that group.

Why?

His engagement is massive.

Each post gets at least 600 comments. We are in the process of building a team for it with full time staff so he doesn't have...

to do all the work himself.

We also plan to start approaching brands for endorsements and a YouTube channel is in the works.

Why am I helping David do all these? Because he proved to be a does. He didn't wait. He didn't bug me with questions. He went and figured something out.

Now let's get to the juicy part, the one that concerns you.

How can you replicate what David has done?

Here it goes:

Step 1: Find a hot market

You need a market that behaves irrationally for this to work.

Go to Facebook, check which groups have over 10,000 members and are active, then copy away.

Step 2: Create The Group.

Just search Google for how to do this one.

It's super simple.

Step 3: Find RELEVANT Content

This is where the rubber meets the road. You need to find the sort of content your audience will love and start gathering it.

Step 4: Start Finding Members to your group.

This is where David shines.

The guy is good at finding rabid followers.

Step 5: Build Value with Your Content

This will create what I call the "KLT" - Know, Like and Trust factor.

Without this, members will abandon your group and move.

Step 6: Sell to them

Obvious right? Sure.
