Now she reels off a (small) list of organisations backing the deal. That’s because the alternative is the carnage of no deal at all. She’s so desperate to save her own skin that she will throw the rest of us off the cliff to do it #PMQs
Now May says that it’s not possible to sign a deal while we’re in the EU. Quite so. But then why did David Davis say we could sign it a nanosecond after we left, and why did May agree by promising a final trade deal would be ready to implement? She is genuinely shameless. #PMQs
Now we’ve heard it all: Labour ‘wants to overturn will of the people ... with a second referendum’. Who does she think would be voting in that referendum for crying out loud? What a preposterous, corrosive, morally and intellectually bankrupt argument. She has nothing left. #PMQs
‘Scottish people voted for 13 Conservative MPs’, goads May. Not sure that’s the best argument to fire at Ian Blackford considering that they also voted for 35 SNP ones
PS: May affirmed we said she couldn’t get Dec 2017 deal, transition or withdrawal deal. No. We said she could get all three if she agreed EU demands for divorce bill, backstop, customs union & single market for goods in NI, and full free movement till 2021. She caved on them all.
