They know the establishment loathe the result of the referendum
They know that anyone calling for a second referendum fundamentally believes that Leave voters were too stupid to understand the magnitude and consequences of their vote the first time round, so they should do it again.
They know that this negotiation has been conducted weakly, grovellingly, apologlegtically and without conviction and that is no way to get your own way
They know that the Prime Minister was weak and dishonest when she failed to prepare for no deal despite saying over and over again that no deal is better than a bad deal
They know that for two years there has been no room in public life for anyone who believes in and wishes to make the case for the positive optimistic future that Brexit can bring
They know that the scare stories around no deal are ludicrous
They know we have a vacuum of leadership
Those that support Brexit know that we should just rip the plaster off rather than spending the next 5-10 years endlessly debating how ‘to Brexit’.
And to do that we need a strong, confident PM who has a positive vision about what Brexit can be, who is prepared to straight-talk with the British people and the EU to move us out of what has been two years of stalemate.
The ONLY damanging thing about Brexit is stalemate and uncertainty. May’s deal, a second referendum, further protracted negotiations all guarantee that.
