NEW: Governor Roy Cooper has named Joshua Malcolm the chair of NCSBE. Malcolm is who made the motion twice to not certify the #NC09 results and to investigate the irregularities. Gov Cooper also appointed Robert Cordle to the Board's open seat #ncpol @wsoctv

NCGOP is not a fan of Cooper picking Malcolm to lead NCSBE

EXCLUSIVE: Absentee ballot witness says she was hired by McCrae Dowless to collect ballots & deliver them to him. When asked if she was told to tell people about certain candidates she said,

"(Sheriff) McVicker & Harris. That's who he was working for"

From a source @StolpWSOC9 and I obtained photocopies of 159 submitted & accepted absentee by mail envelopes. 8 people signed as a witness for at least 10 ballots. 3 people signed as a witness for at least 42 ballots. Story will update wsoctv.com/news/local/cha… #ncpol #NC09 @wsoctv

By phone, on the ground, at his work-- I've been trying to get in touch with McCrae Dowless for days. Finally this afternoon he poked his head out the side door and told me this as I repeatedly asked him questions #NC09 #ncpol @wsoctv

Each witness has to include their address when they sign. Five people listed the same address on Pecan St in the Village Oak Apartments. The landlord told me only one of the five people is a tenant. Also of note, the place the five claimed to live at is a one bedroom apartment
