MEADOWS says there’s a “hard stop” on today’s questioning of Comey at 4:16. If members aren’t done by then, it could mean bringing Comey back for a second day.
Rep. ISSA says FBI/DOJ lawyer’s are intervening to stop @Comey from answering questions “at the core” of their investigation. He says the agencies must provide more detailed reasons and arrange for Comey to return and answer those questions.
Rep. JIMMY GOMEZ (D-Calif) says FBI lawyers intervened just a handful of times. He also said Comey professed respect for Trump AG nominee Bill Barr but said any appearance of bias in terms of handling the Mueller probe or other matters would have to be accounted for.
Update: CNN has decided to torture the rest of the press corps with a pizza delivery outside the Comey interview.
