I think we can safely conclude that Cohen (as I predicted) has given Mueller nothing on collusion. Cohen's crime concerns lying about a deal that didn't come to close happening; proposed meetings/contacts w/ Russians went nowhere; and nothing is redacted. #CohenSentencingMemo
Because the Cohen doc offers them nothing else, the collusion hopeful will seize on this ambiguous sentence. But it could be read either way:
1/ So I have bad news for the collusion hopeful: none of Manafort's "crimes and lies" have anything to do with events that took place during the 2016 campaign, or pertaining to collusion w/ Russia.
2/ They have to do with:
1-2) interactions w/ Kilimnik in Manafort's (non-Russia trial)
3) payment to a firm in 2017
4) "Another DOJ Investigation"
5) Admin contacts in 2018.

1. I had planned on writing today about political parties being central to a healthy electorate, but in light of last night’s revelation, it’s fitting to talk about the role of credibility in politics and how wearing down trust risks wearing down a republic.
2. Two revelations, actually.

One from Rudy Giuliani, who now represents President Donald Trump. On Fox News last night, he said Trump repaid Michael Cohen the $130,000 his lawyer gave porn actress Story Daniels in exchange for her silence before the election.
3. As of Wednesday, the official line had been that Trump knew nothing about the money, that Cohen paid out of his own pocket &, importantly, that there was nothing to suggest Trump had paid off Daniels. Trump confirmed Giuliani’s statement this morning. twitter.com/realDonaldTrump
