I stared at a screen for several days to bring you this story.

It’s about charismatic Christians who met in the Trump hotel to pray for POTUS…but that doesn’t capture it.

It is genuinely difficult to explain.

It’s a glimpse into politicized charismatic Christianity, which is increasingly popular and influential — including meetings with government officials.

It fuses Christian nationalism w/ecstatic worship and prophecy and…so much more.

This is not necessarily distinct from the religious right, but the outlook is decidedly different.

These groups don’t really have congregations, per se. They’re networked online, and their political goals are often rooted in explicitly supernatural worldviews.

If you’re wondering if this is the same group that got moved from their original venue — the Museum of the Bible — you’d be right!

Also, they ran into Rudy Giuliani. And some claimed bipartisanship is over. And they prayed for the failure of the Deep State. And there were lots of prophesies.
