I study teeth.. but when animals lose their teeth through evolution they come up with other nightmarish solutions and I love them all.

Herons and Egrets have harpoon tongues.
Penguins have a solution for slippery fish.

Spoiler: Its a spike mouth.. like why did you go and lose teeth if you are just going go to do this!? 😒🐧
Woodpeckers have tongues that wrap around their skulls and end in... yup you guessed it a harpoon.

Even filter-feeding birds have come up with some scary efficient solutions.

I keep encountering misconceptions about what behavioral counseling is, particularly when it comes to health conditions. As psychologists, we don’t just chat w/ patients or tell them what to do. Behavioral counseling is a collaborative learning process. Let me explain… #scicomm
Let’s say a patient comes to me wanting to lose weight. My first step is to assess how much they want to lose, why they want to lose weight, medical or psych issues that might be affecting their weight, and what they have tried in the past (and how that went). 2/n
If issues emerge that should be treated first, I will do so or refer. For ex, if the patient has uncontrolled diabetes, we would address this. If they have depression, weight loss will be difficult, so we will need to tackle this via counseling and/or meds. 3/n

Some of you may have noticed that I'm sporting a new tag in my screen name. It's not just a fad though, allow me to explain in this lil ol' #thread:
1/ As you (should) know, january 3rd marks the actual birthday of #Bitcoin, as it was the day that Satoshi mined the first blocks and hence set the Bitcoin story into motion. Upcoming jan 3rd will be the 10th anniversary and this would be an obvious time for celebrations.
2/ @TraceMayer took the initiative of a call-to-arms for all HODLers-of-last-resort, to join him and quite a few other prominent bitcoiners like @giacomozucco, @theonevortex and @CaitlinLong_, just to name some, and also sport the same tag in their screen name.
