Introduced a bill with @SenatorMenendez and @SenRubioPress today that would grant displaced Venezuelans who are fleeing dire conditions in their country temporary protected status here in the U.S.
Venezuela faces a crisis, and the United States has a responsibility to respond in a manner that lives up to our American values. It is within our power to help keep innocent men, women, and children out of harm’s way.
I'm also reiterating my call for the release of National Assembly member Juan Requesens, who was cowardly jailed in a repressive and undemocratic action by President Maduro.
