1. Let's analyse where we are with #DaphneCaruanaGalizia's murder after a over a year:

A. The case vs the 3 purported assassins is still languishing in court without them being actually indicted yet.

2. Instead the defence lawyers are using lines (eg where is the laptop or why did @mcaruanagalizia park outside that night) borrowed straight from @JosephMuscat_JM's "blame the victim" playbook: drive.google.com/open?id=1-4F7I…

3. If this farce continues until August, 2019, the 3 purported bombers will be entitled to be out on bail. Something their defence lawyers are well aware of & something one begins to suspect may well be planned.

4. B. Despite @MaltaGov feeding naive journalists with juicy information about masterminds being identified, it turns out that it was just an attempt at a handy headline. Even @Reuters carried the misleading news.

5. Not only was no one arrested but there's about as much appetite within the politically captured @MaltaPolice to dig into masterminds or PEPs as @realDonaldTrump to dig into Russian electoral interference.

6. C. @MaltaGov has repeatedly shot down any calls for a public inquiry citing a magisterial inquiry as the reason.

As shown by Malta's ex-Chief Justice & a judge at the ECtHR, Maltese inquiries are not investigations at all (it's a handy misnomer): independent.com.mt/articles/2018-…

7. D. The atmosphere around even daring to remember #DaphneCaruanaGalizia has now become so toxic thanks to a @MaltaGov campaign that hyper-partisan pro-government supporters now feel entitled to harass & assault people daring to place flowers & candles:
