1. Philosophically, tradermoni was bound to happen. When less than a million people have controlled the world's 6th largest supply of oil for 4 decades and locked out nearly 180 million people, that makes them one of the world's wealthiest elite.
2. That's a lot of money within this hermetic but sociopathic group comprising civilians and their enablers in the military. What you are witnessing with tradermoni is far more than the patronage of one political party. Those opposed to it in the other party are just forming.
3. Collectively, this group, across parties, understands that the model of circulating petro-billions within the group for 4 decades is not sustainable. Tradermoni is the consequence of a dialectic. We've got to let something trickle down to protect Nigeria's primitive statehood.
4. To bring Nigeria into civilization means deepening the notion of the Commonwealth & d social contract. Now, we can't have that. However, what can we do to sustain this primitive prebendal system upon which our collective class privileges are based?
5. Ah, yes, our neoliberal instructors in Washington have always had a consensus that in moments of great crisis, whenever what Claude Ake calls "revolutionary pressures" threaten d privileges of d elite, we must trickle down to d masses in order to preserve the order of things.
6. If u have not read enough books, u will believe such simplisms as @bukolasaraki's opposition to tradermoni. He is just forming. He knows dat Osinbajo is trickling down & pacifying on behalf of an association of 1 percenters though tribe, tongue, faith & parties may differ.
7. History though, is funny. It does not avail us of too many examples where the trickle downers get to write the end of the story. Denouement is one thing they are never able to determine. But they never learn...
