Michael Cohen claimed he stopped pursuing the deal in June of 2016.
Giuliani’s comment leaves open the possibility convos ran months longer (ostensibly excluding Cohen).
If so, someone else took over.
There was a similar handoff of the deal with AMI/The Enquirer.

Quite possible the same happened with the Trump Moscow pursuit.
Perhaps Jared pursued the deal from June on.

Not unreasonable at all that Jared might have picked up where Cohen left off and tried to pull Saudis (or Qataris or Emiratis) into the project.

Ahmad has a range of talents but is particularly strong in prosecutions of organized criminal activity with Middle Eastern ties (terrorism, money laundering, organized crime).

I read that as “tapes/emails/txts with people like Junior about the stuff they were doing”.
