Lean In has been criticized for missing major feminist moments. After Trump’s election, there was debate over appearing political – ultimately, it was decided that would hurt the mission. Their response to #MeToo has faced criticism too.
While most former employees described it as a supportive organization, some said intense public scrutiny of Sandberg and the project could make it a stressful workplace.
