It would hurt people who get coverage through their employer, through Medicare, through Medicaid, and who purchase it on their own. /1
You'd see a return of annual and lifetime limits; wouldn't necessarily be able to keep your adult children on your plan; and would lose free preventive services. And you'd no longer get a rebate if your premiums are too high. /2
You'd get a return of the prescription drug donut hole; face cost-sharing for preventive services like mammograms; and some beneficiaries would face increased premiums and out-of-pocket costs. /3
Millions would lose coverage with the end of Medicaid expansion, you'd pay for preventive services like children's vaccines; and more people would have to go into institutional care rather than receiving care in their homes. /4
You'd see a significant increase in costs; could be charged more or denied coverage if you have a preexisting condition; and could be charged an age tax. /5
And that policy is clear: make health care worse for everyone. /6
